Potty Training Take 2
Well, I am done. Thanks for all your suggestions. But I decided the boys will be in diapers until they potty train themselves. I am not kidding!!!!! Maybe when they get interested in girls they will decide it is time to pee in the toilet. It took me all of two hours to decide that I can't do it. I don't have the patience right now, and maybe never. Plus I don't think they are ready. They don't get it. At least that is what I tell myself. So, I will try again. So don't leave me any nasty comments. Maybe in a month or two or three or four...... ;)

Don't worry Elisha! You have it right to not stress about it and wait until they are ready. Or you could make Micah do it. I am trying to convince Todd to potty train Ty, because every time I try to help him sit on the potty, he sais, "You go out of here."
Hey--no worries. Stranger things have happened...my second son potty trained himself in about a week. No joke. Hang in there!
Send them out here for a couple of days. I know I'm wierd but I had a blast potty training Treven! You've got the right frame of mind "No Stress" especially right now! LOve ya!
It is just best to wait until they are ready! Sometimes really ready!
No matter how hard I tried to potty train our boys it never worked, until they wanted to do it. When they were ready, all it took was a camping trip with Dad. There's something about going on a tree that little boys find very fun. Go figure!
I can completely relate to the frustration and it sounds like a good idea to me just to wait. I think potty training has been the one of the hardest things to go through as a parent (so far) and they just turned 3 in November... they're still young!
Hey Lish, don't fall over but its mom. Boys are never ready or as easy as girls to potty train. You are right they will train themselves when they are ready. That's what I did with one of your brothers. I better not say which one. Mom
The only idea I have is like potty training a puppy.
I don't think your boys will like crate training very much (smile) as it took my baby Puppy only a week to catch on the idea that I want her to "GO POTTY" when and where I want her to.
Ah well, did you try fancy pull ups that look like cool underwear?
My other idea only works for warmer weather: carpet cleaner and letting them ONLY wear normal underwear and nothing else, where they are forced to feel exactly how messy it is. (this worked for Seth as he started potty training at 21 months in April, he quickly caught on that using the toilet=clean/dry/comfortable body)
GOOD luck! Fun being the parent at home with the kids, huh? (smile)
Elisha, I am facing the potty training dilemma myself. It's kind of a sore subject, because I am ready, but Spencer has proven that he is not!! I'm happy to know that I am not the only one wondering what to do, and deciding to wait until my child is ready =). so I wish you the best of luck, and hope you keep us posted!
You're so smart!! If you're not ready and they aren't ready...why stress!!
